Project Details

Indian Mound Church Road is a two-lane rural road located in Ware County. The existing wooden bridge was experiencing abutment failures and had past problems with the wooden piles. T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. designed a replacement bridge using a precast concrete structure. The new structure was designed to handle the stormwater flows for a 100-year storm event. The total length of the bridge is 140 feet. T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. was responsible for the design and construction of the bridge replacement. Pond Engineering was the subcontractor for the structural design of the bridge. T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. completed all roadway design, hydrology studies, and permitting. We also conducted the bidding process for Ware County. Once the contractor was selected, our inspection team was responsible for construction observation and construction contract administration.
