Project Details
The Blue Mile Streetscape Improvements – Phase 2 project includes the design of improvements along South Main Street from the Fair Road intersection to East/West Grady Street. T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. is the design engineer for this project. The intent of the project is to provide stormwater, utility, and streetscape improvements to the area, along with landscaping where viable, utility relocation to underground, and a redesign of the Grady Street intersection to resolve an issue created from the current offset.
The surveying for this project is being conducted in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation standards and guidelines for surveying. The work includes locating all roadways, sidewalks, brick pavers, crosswalks, landscape areas, trees, signs, light poles, signal poles, stormwater catch basins, stormwater pipes, ditches, sanitary sewer manholes and sewer mains, water valves, fire hydrants, water mains, water meters, backflow preventors underground power lines, underground gas mains, and underground communication lines. The project also includes locating business front doors and building finished floors.
