Project Details

T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. served as the General Engineering Consultant for the relocation of County Farm Road. Specifically, Mr. Long served as the project manager and design engineer. He also supervised bidding, contract administration, and construction observation.

The existing County Farm Road was relocated for the construction of a new high school. The roadway realignment route included two roundabouts and went through the middle of an old surface mine. This project was completed using a modified Georgia Department of Transportation Plan Development Process. This process included a limited review in the development of a conceptual plan, environmental review, surveying, preliminary plan development, constructibility review, public hearings, final field plan review, construction administration, construction observation, project documentation, and close-out.
