Grady Street Sidewalks

Project Details
T.R. Long Engineering, P.C. prepared construction plans for adding sidewalks on a portion of Grady Street. The sidewalks will begin at North Main Street continue the north side of the street until it reaches the downtown walking trail. The sidewalk will then utilize the existing street crossing to the southern side of the street and extend to South Mulberry Street. The project will include relocating existing utilities, replacing curb and gutter, and adding handicap crossings as necessary for the new sidewalks. This project also includes sidewalk crossing railroad right-of-way. T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. has coordinated this work with the railroad and City of Statesboro.
River to Tap, Inc., is providing environmental services for this project. These services to date are comprised of environmental documentation for concept development including NEPA discipline management, ecology discipline management, ecology and NEPA resource field location, ecology resources via flagging, photographs, and Global Positioning System of wetlands and streams within the approved Environmental Survey Boundary and within the project limits, as well as NEPA field verification of resources within the Environmental Survey Boundary. Additionally, River to Tap is responsible for environmental documentation and report writing, including preparing NEPA documents, agency coordination, preparing an Ecology Resource Survey Report and Assessment of Effects Report, preparing an Air Assessment Report, preparing traffic Noise Screening analysis, preparing Type III Noise Assessment Report, and reviewing and revising the above-mentioned reports following comments from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
